Declaration on the status of accessibility

(14.03.2025 Status of the declaration)

Information on the accessibility of this website in accordance with § 9b NBGG and on how to contact us in this regard. This accessibility declaration applies to http://www.musiccares.de. In theory, we are exempt from the obligation to make a declaration on the status of accessibility. Nevertheless, the status of accessibility is described here to the best of our knowledge and conscience.

This website is compatible with the requirements of the German BGG (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz), the German BITV (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung) 2.0 and thus also the international WCAG 2.0 and the extensions of WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) conformity level AA, or additional requirements from EN 301 549 (European standard). As the WCAG serves as the basis for the BITV, the comparison here is based on the four core principles:

With regard to the principle of perceptibility, images and graphics are provided with text alternatives so that, for example, a screen reader can read them aloud for users with visual impairments. The website can be manually enlarged up to 150% without affecting the functionality of the application, so that font sizes can be adjusted. When designing the color scheme of the application and clickable elements in particular, we paid attention to high contrast between text and background.

With regard to the principle of usability, sufficient time is available to carry out interactions. Error messages should provide helpful information to help users correct errors.

With regard to the principle of comprehensibility, we have revised all texts in collaboration with metamine, a GbR for sustainable digital transformation, to make them as clear and simple as possible. The content should be understandable for a broad audience. The user interface was also improved for consistency and predictability.

With regard to the principle of robustness, it can be said that users can switch languages and all content is displayed correctly in the chosen language. At the moment, PDFs are not yet available, but when they are, they should also be accessible.

Non-accessible content:

With regard to the principle of perceptibility, font sizes can only be adapted to a limited extent and colors cannot be adapted.

With regard to the principle of usability, it is not yet ensured that everything is easily accessible with assistive devices, such as voice control. This also applies to navigation with the keyboard, such as checking that the focus is always clearly recognizable and leads logically through the page.

With regard to the principle of comprehensibility, the texts are currently not available in simple language. Forms clearly indicate input errors in writing, but references to missing or incorrect information appear in red, which would not be recognizable for colour-blind users, for example.

With regard to the principle of robustness, it has not yet been tested what compatibility and accessibility with screen readers or alternative technologies looks like, i.e. whether all interactive elements (e.g. dropdowns, buttons, forms) can be operated with assistive technologies. It is also not yet guaranteed that content that changes dynamically during use (e.g. in AJAX-based applications) is easily recognizable and accessible for all users.

The content listed is not accessible for the following reasons: As mentioned at the beginning, we are exempt from the obligation to provide a declaration on the status of accessibility. We are not a public institution or a company with a correspondingly high annual turnover and a correspondingly high number of employees, so that the legal requirements for accessibility are considered disproportionate. However, we have endeavored to make musiccares.de at least as accessible as possible.

Creation of this declaration on accessibility This declaration was created on 14.03.2025. The assessment is based on a self-assessment.
